SOR MOTORSPORT RENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP IS A KARTING COMPETITION BASED ON THE RULES AND APPROACH OF PROFESSIONAL RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Since the founding of the sports association in 2009, more than 200 drivers have participated in this form of competition, racing in over 400 races to date. Until 2018, SOR was part of the global amateur karting competition “Sodi World Series,” through its Rental Championship, sending its representatives to the final competition four times. The final event gathers the best amateur karting drivers from around the world at the RKC tracks in Paris and Lignano, Italy.
The SOR Rental Championship serves as a starting point for many ambitious drivers aspiring to a future career as professional racers. Over the years, a significant number of participants in the SOR Rental Championship have also competed in professional karting competitions across Serbia.
The competition consists of two parallel championships: the drivers’ championship and the teams’ championship. Each driver must be a member of a team. The season comprises race days, consisting of several sprint races. The driver with the most points at the end of a race day is the winner for that day. The driver with the highest points at the end of the last race day of the season becomes the champion of the competition. The top three drivers and teams are awarded recognition at the end of each race day and at the end of the season.
For participation in our competitions, a valid SOR racing license is required. The conditions for issuing this document include a certificate of completion of the basic racing training by SOR MOTORSPORT and confirmation of payment for the card production fee.
SUPERLICENCA is intended for drivers who have racing experience.
ROOKIE LICENCA is intended for drivers without racing experience.
PROCESS EXPLANATION
ENTRIES FOR THE SOR RENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE OPEN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE ’24 SEASON.
THE NUMBER OF SPOTS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS LIMITED TO 30 PARTICIPANTS. HERE, THE LIST OF REGISTERED COMPETITORS WILL BE DISPLAYED SO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES CAN TRACK THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE.
HAVING A VALID LICENSE IS NOT NECESSARY FOR REGISTRATION. ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP MUST HAVE THEIR LICENSE WITH THEM ON RACE DAYS, BUT THEY CAN APPLY FOR THE COMPETITION BEFORE INITIATING THE LICENSING PROCESS.
AFTER SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION, EACH COMPETITOR WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED IN THE FORM. THE CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANIZER WILL THEN SEND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYING THE COMPETITION FEE AND ALL OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION VIA THE SAME CHANNEL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
